Kelibia is on the north-east coast of Tunisia on the peninsula of Cap Bon. The town was certainly in existence as long ago as 309 BC. The town center has principally white buildings in both the old and new parts of the city, which gives it a picturesque almost biblical air.
Fort
Kelibia’s main attraction is the fort, lying north of the town, visible from wherever you are. Originally built by the Byzantines, it was enlarged and strengthened under the Hafsid dynasty.
